Background of Advocacy

The advent of the internet and its integration into our modern society came with the benefit of bridging societies and communities together. Through this, people became more accepting of things that were once stigmatized. Despite the many advances that have been made in recent years in terms of social acceptance, there are still many minority groups who face discrimination and exclusion on a daily basis.

One of these groups is the LGBTQ+ community, whose members are often stigmatized and shunned by society at large. This can be extremely damaging and painful for members of this community, who may already feel like they have nowhere to turn.
