As part of the Art Appreciation course curriculum, we, the students of CIIT College of Arts and Technology, have come together to organize this online art exhibit to proudly demonstrate our pride and love for the LGBTQ+ community.

Featuring over 26 unique works from a variety of artists, Coming Out aims to honor the solidarity of the LGBTQ+ community by showing off their utmost courage and strength through the social persecution they have suffered from and are still suffering from until now.

Art is one of the bountiful mediums to reach the rest of the world. Join us as we champion the rights of this beautiful community through a diverse collection of art, all of which are carefully curated to showcase the extraordinary world queer folks have built over the years.

The gallery shelters one of the many forms of artistic exhibition brought about by artists of all ages who gathered for a single advocacy; to raise awareness and commemorate the LGBTQ+ community’s valor. More than being a space where the community can feel seen and acknowledged, it can also educate others about the challenges this community faces. This online art exhibit also aims to shed light on the under-represented genders of the LGBTQ+ community.

Sharing the stories and experiences of the LGBTQ community through art is not only limited to exhibiting—but also communicating. Through representation in illustrations, it aims to convey that regardless of what you identify as, regardless of your gender identity, and regardless of your sexual orientation—you matter.
